Spatial Poetics is a new series at SAUL curated and run by Lytle Shaw (SAUL and New York University). Investigating the terrain shared between contemporary poetry and architecture, this series of seminars and public poetry readings is sponsored by the School of Architecture and the School of Languages, Literature, Communication and Culture at the University of Limerick. Lisa Robertson will give the first poetry reading of this series at 5pm on Thursday 28th February 2016 in the SAUL Studio, CG-042, Main Building, University of Limerick.

Born in Toronto, poet Lisa Robertson later spent over twenty years in Vancouver, where she was a member of the writer-run Kootenay School of Writing. Her books of poetry and essays include Debbie: An Epic (1997), The Weather (2001), Occasional Work and Seven Walks from the Office for Soft Architecture (2003), Nilling (2012), and Cinema of the Present (2014). She has held residencies and taught at University of Cambridge, Berkeley, University of California-San Diego, Simon Fraser, Princeton, California College of Arts and Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam. Robertson, who currently lives in France, has translated Michelle Bernstein and Henri Meschonnic from the French.
