Design@UL
Fab Lab Limerick, No. 7 Rutland Street.
The cream of design from graduating students of architecture and product design in UL will go on public display in the Fab Lab Limerick in Limerick’s City Centre, as part of University of Limerick’s Design@UL showcase 2019.
Exciting and creative problem solving is at the heart of this exhibition, which gives members of the public a chance to see the work of some of Ireland’s most talented young designers, likely to influence the future of design across a range of fields from architecture to product design to technology to healthcare.
Employing real-world research, students have spent the year exploring new technologies and potential futures, challenging perceptions and improving everyday human interaction with the physical world.
This year’s Design@UL show is the third showcase of undergraduate work under the new School of Design at UL. It demonstrates what can be achieved through interdisciplinary collaboration and offers a vision of change for design education and research in Ireland. The Design@UL Showcase will be opened by Professor Kerstin Mey, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Engagement University of Limerick at 5.30pm on Thursday 23rd May 2019 and will take place in the Fab Lab Limerick on Rutland Street, Limerick City Centre.
The exhibition will run until June 5th (9:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday)
