Maria Donoghue

Lecturer

Maria Donoghue is an architect working in urbanism, architecture, research and education. She focuses much of her research and architecture work on the relevance of context, and the recent changes in the Irish built environment. She is a studio tutor in the School of Architecture, University of Limerick, and also runs a module on Assembly and Techniques.

She is a principal in Donoghue Corbett Architects since 2007, which responds to the increasing demand for design quality and organising systems in development. The practice is interested in pursuing architecture as a political act, demonstrating this through research, involvement in education and the design and construction of buildings.
